Mr. Efthymios Kyriakopoulos is a senior executive with international experience and expertise in banking, portfolio management, corporate transformation and risk management.
He has been elected as a member of the Board of Directors of EESYP (Hyperfund) and participates as Chairman of the Investment Committee, and has served as Chairman of the Risk Management Committee, member of the Audit Committee and member of the Nomination Committee. He also serves as an independent non-executive director of TBC bank PLC, a London-listed bank active in the emerging markets of Central Asia and a member of the FTSE 250; he is chairman of the risk management committee, a member of the audit committee and a member of the technology and data committee.
He was Executive General Manager and Group Chief Risk Officer at Piraeus Bank until 2020. Prior to that, he was Managing Director at investment bank Goldman Sachs. He has served on various boards in the financial, insurance, service and manufacturing sectors. In his career, he has been involved in private money market and real estate capital investments. He was a member of the founding team of Market Axess Inc. which is currently a NASDAQ-listed fintech firm and prior to that he worked at Deutsche Bank and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
He holds a MBA with distinction from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University.
